The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute @ Chestnut Hill College

The 2016 Fall Semester of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute begins September 10, 2016, on the campus of Chestnut Hill College.  Chestnut Hill College is located at 8901 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 in the beautiful and historic district of Chestnut Hill.

Women Veterans ROCK! continues its robust Community Partnership with Chestnut Hill College in the annual presentation of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute Fall Workshop Series.  Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, is a proud “Military Friendly” college and has enjoyed a long and distinguished history of supporting America’s Military Families and Student Veterans.

Additionally, it is with the generous Enduring Partnership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and their groundbreaking nationwide commitment to Women Veterans and Military Families, Women Veterans ROCK is able to provide high quality, comprehensive Civic Leadership Training and Education through this one-of-a-kind civic leadership incubator for Women & Girls in Military Families.  Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, is an international sorority that works to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change.

The 2016 Fall Semester of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Workshop Series will be held in Martino Hall, Room 216 on Chestnut Hill College’s Main Campus (located at 8901 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118).    This year’s Fall Civic Leadership Workshop Series will be presented one Saturday a month during the Fall Semester (in the months of September, October, November, December).   Classes will be held in Martino Hall, Room 216 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Fall 2016 Registration cost is $225.00 per person.  Fall 2016 Student Veteran Registration is $195.00 per person.  Registration includes: Materials; Workshops; Case Studies; Expert Guest Lecturers; Public Speaking & Media Training; Your Own Professional E-Portfolio; Professional Head Shot Photo; Continental Breakfast & Working Box Lunches.

Upon successful completion of the 2016 Fall Civic Leadership Workshop Series, participants earn: 2017 Delegate Membership in The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation To Washington DC(c); participants have the opportunity to apply for direct, designated appointments to: Civic Engagement & Community Organizing Organizations; Professional Mentor Paring with Corporate Women Business Leaders; Apprentice Board Appointment to Regional & National Service Organizations.

Chestnut Hill College – A Proud “Military Friendly” College

A fully qualified veteran can attend Chestnut Hill College tuition free each year. You must have 100% entitlement in order to qualify. Chestnut Hill College will provide a maximum amount that will be matched by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). These funds mean that a fully qualified veteran will attend Chestnut Hill College tuition free.

To be considered to be a qualifying students, applicants must:

  • Be accepted for enrollment to a degree program or be currently enrolled in a degree program at Chestnut Hill College; and
  • Submit the Certificate of Eligibility provided to them by the VA to Chestnut Hill College’s School Certifying Official (SCO).

Recipients will be selected based upon the date by which both conditions are met under the current guidelines of eligibility.
