Women Vets ROCK! Veterans Day Rally & Town Hall Celebration

Featuring “The Success of Military Women In Public Leadership”

WASHINGTON, DC (November 3, 2015) – On Veterans Day, November 11, 2015 the Women Veterans ROCK! Advocacy Campaign will stand among America’s leading military women and pay tribute to America’s women veterans during its Veterans Day Rally at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

The Women Veterans ROCK! Veterans Day Rally was specially created to celebrate all women veterans, Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, military spouses and military families. Over the last six years, advocacy campaign has served more than 7,500 military women and their families by providing them with access to health resources, community service organizations, and career and professional development for military families transitioning from military service back into civilian life.

As it celebrates the sixth year of its 10-year commission, the Women Veterans ROCK! Advocacy Campaign is increasing social awareness of the accomplishments and challenges America’s military women face in their post-military lives by hosting a Town Hall discussion dedicated to, “The Success of Military Women in Public Leadership.”

“The Women of Women Veterans ROCK stand proud and tall as we work together to transform our spirit of military service into a spirit of civic and community leadership in our nation’s capital and throughout the country,” said Deborah Harmon-Pugh, National Campaign Chair of Women Veterans ROCK! “Women Veterans ROCK is proud to serve as a catalyst centered at the very core of a new and emerging community of Post-9/11 military women in public leadership.”
