Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute, Fall 2017 @ Chestnut Hill College

The 2017 Fall Semester of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute begins September 23, 2017, on the beautiful campus of Chestnut Hill College.  Chestnut Hill College is located at 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 in the historic district of Chestnut Hill.

Women Veterans ROCK! continues its long standing Community Partnership with Chestnut Hill College in the annual presentation of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute Fall Workshop Series.  Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, is a proud “Military Friendly” college and has enjoyed a distinguished history of supporting America’s Military Families and Student Veterans.

The Fall 2017 Women Veterans Civic Leadership Workshop Series @ Chestnut Hill College –  The Fall 2017 Civic Leadership Workshop Series is the region’s leading Civic Leadership Incubator for Today’s Military Women.  It is a dynamic collection of: workshops lead by expert Guest Lecturers; case studies;  panel discussions; debates on current public policy issues; public speaking & media training forums.

Participates receive professional instruction in the development and/or updating of their 2017-2018 Civic Leaders E-Portfolio to document, track and present their achievements from their participation in the 2017 Civic Leadership Development Series.

Successful completion of the Civic Leadership Series prepares graduates for 2018 Civic Engagement Opportunities, Board Leadership; Local Community Appointments and The Women Veterans 2020 Delegation To Capitol Hill.

The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute is dedicated to Today’s Military Women who are Emerging Community Leaders; Seeking Civic Engagement Opportunities; Dedicated to Community Service; and are leading candidates for our nationwide “Military Women In Public Leadership” Campaign. (Earn CEUs) – Fall 2017 Registration Cost $425.00

Session #1 @ 9 AM – 3:30 PM – Create & Customize Your 2018 Public Leadership Starters Kit.  Uniquely Designed for Today’s Military Women Seeking Opportunities As New Public Leaders.  Obtain Professional Guidance In: Civic Leadership; Business Leadership; & Nonprofit Leadership.   

Skills Building Clinics: Finding Funding; Corporate Grantmaking; Charitable Partnerships; Sponsors; Scholarships; and Donors.

 

October 28

Session #2 @ 9 AM – 3:30 PM – Getting Your Seat At The Table! / Where To Find Public & Community Leadership Opportunities In 2018.

Skills Building Clinics: The Digital Dive; Social Media Savvy; Transformative Professional Networking.

 

November 18 

Session #3 @ 9 AM – 3:30 PM – Look Like A Leader. Present Like A Leader. How To Gain Influence Through Public & Workforce Leadership.

Skills Building Clinics: The Gavel Club @ Women Veterans ROCK! w/ Toastmasters International; Professional Image Consulting; and Practice…Practice…Practice!

 

December 09

Session #4 @ 9 AM – 3:30 PM – Serve As A Civic Asset / Being A Women of Public Influence In Civic, Business & Community Leadership / The Closing Reception & Recognition Ceremony  for The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Class of 2017-2018 / The Cadets STEM/Civic Leadership Class of 2017-2018 – Mid Year Recognition.

Skills Building Clinic: Civic Leaders Capstone Presentations; ROTC Cadets STEM/Civic Leadership Class Presentations.
