Military Women  @ The WVCLI are Social Entrepreneurs who are uniquely trained and serving as America’s NEWEST Agents of Social Change for Military Families.

The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute, (WVCLI), is a Fellowship Program that teaches participants The Fundamentals of Civilian Civic Engagement and Community Leadership. The Institute is uniquely designed to aid Today’s Military Women in getting involved in community-based leadership opportunities.  We assist you in becoming positive agents of social change for Military Women & Military Families.

Fellows of The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute, (WVCLI), are dynamic Social Entrepreneurs uniquely trained and equipped to serve as America’s newest agents of change.  They are passionate about civic engagement and embolden as civic leaders.  Upon completion of this unique fellowship program, WVCLI Fellows gain opportunities to serve among:

  • Public Policy Leaders serving to improve the overall quality of life for America’s Women Veterans and Military Families;
  • Civic Leaders in powerful sectors of society including: Civic Affairs; Community Services; Small Business Development; Continuing Education; Faith-Based Outreach; Women & Family Healthcare; Law; Media; Politics; and Elected Office.
  • Compelling Agents of Change who serve to benefit and uphold the common good of humanity.

The Women Veterans Civic Leadership Institute provides civic leadership education and training; accompanied by hands-on experiential learning; self-selected In-Service Fellowships/ Project Management Internships; E-Portfolio Programming; and participation in a professional nationwide Alumni Association of America’s leading Military Women.

Research shows that being engaged in a strong professional network, America’s Military Women are better able to prosper in their field, expand their influence and excel when positioned in compatible leadership opportunities.

Phase I – The Fundamentals of Civic Leadership For Today’s Military Women.  Phase I consist of  a weekend/two-day, in-class core curriculum focusing on the fundamentals of civic and community leadership.  It delivers detailed updates on civic, community, and business leadership opportunities that are highly compatible for today’s experienced and engaged military women. Phase I presents a generalist overview of the 6 primary components of The WVCLI (i.e., Advocacy; Boards; Commissions; Councils;  Campaigning; and the Alumni Association).  These fundamentals are the important core components of The Institute’s civic leadership training and education.  Phase I of this dynamic civic leadership fellowship program begins at our Annual Women Veterans Summer Leadership Retreat.

Phase II – The Civic Leadership Training & Education Series.   Phase II is The Fall Semester Series of 4 one-day intensive training and education workshops.  These one-day intensives are designed to develop the engagement skills of new and emerging Civic Leadership Fellows.

The Civic Leadership Training & Educations Series is a comprehensive collection of: workshops; case study review & analysis;  panel discussions; debates on topical public issues; and  public speaking training forums to build confidence and public speaking skills.

Delegates and Fellows receive professional instruction in the development of our annual Women Veterans Master Mind Groups; their own Civic Leaders E-Portfolio that documents, tracks and present the results of their civic leaders fellowship for future leadership opportunities.

Phase II is dedicated to building tomorrow’s leaders; promoting civic and community service; expanding their professional digital footprints.

 Phase II of our civic leaders training & education series is conducted during the months of September, October, November and December on the campus of Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA.  Typically, one-day intensive are held on a Saturday in each of the preceding months.

Phase III – The Civic Leaders “Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill”.  Phase III is our custom designed In-Service Fellowship featuring our yearly Women Veterans Public Policy Day on Capitol Hill in Washington , DC.  The Women Veterans Public Policy Day is hosted every March in commemoration of America’s national celebration of Women’s History Month.  This is a by-invitation-only event. Participating Delegates are selected from The Top 100 Delegates registered in The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation of Military Millennial Women To Washington, DC.  All Women Veterans; Military Women; Women & Girls (age 16+) In Military Families are eligible to become Registered Delegates of The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation of Military Women.

Phase IV – The Women Veterans ROCK! National Alumni Association.   Phase IV is your enrollment in The Women Veterans Public Policy Delegation as a proud “Registered” Woman Veteran Delegates To Capitol Hill as well as being a “Registered Member” of Women Veterans ROCK National Alumni Association Network.  You will join other leading professional Military Women who are committed to the advancement of today’s military women as tomorrow’s civic leaders.    The Women Veterans ROCK! National Alumni Association Network provides Registered Delegates with the unique opportunity to secure special VIP Alumni Invites to Women Veterans ROCK! Media Events and inclusion in our Nationwide Speakers Bureau Network of opportunities.
